Dr. Arkaprovo Das

Arkaprovo Das received his Ph.D from the Department of Electrical Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India in 2017. He is currently working as a Postdoctoral Scholar at CEARL, Penn. State University, from December 2020. His current research interests include computational electromagnetics, developing electromagnetic simulation techniques for electrically large applications such as metamaterial and metasurface-based lenses, developing fast EM solvers for signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC in high speed chip-package-board systems, etc. Prior to his appointment at CEARL, he was working as a co-founder and Principal R&D Engineer at Simyog Technology Pvt. Ltd. At the company, he was one of the architects of the core EM solver technology embedded inside commercial Simyog products.

Dr. Arkaprovo has also co-authored several publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He is a senior member of the IEEE and is also serving as a reviewer of IEEE Transactions of Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology, IEEE Letters on Electromagnetic Compatibility and Applications, Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society Journal and IEEE Access journal. From April 2017 – November 2020, he served as the secretary of the IEEE Electronic Packaging Society, Bangalore Chapter. He is also a recipient of the IEEE Bangalore - Young Technologist of the Year Award, 2019.
