Dr. Chun-xu Mao


Biography: Chun-Xu Mao received the M.S. degree in RF and microwave engineering from South China University of Technology, China in 2013 and Ph.D. degree from University of Kent, UK in 2017. From 2018, he joined the Computational Electromagnetics and Antennas Research Lab, Department of Electrical Engineering, Pennsylvania State University as a postdoctoral research associate. Prior to join the CEARL, he was a research associate with 5G Innovation Center (5GIC) with the University of Surrey, U.K. Dr. Mao is the recipient of the Outstanding Master Thesis Award of Guangdong Province, China, in 2014. His research interests include filtering antenna integration, UWB antenna, circularly-polarized satellite antenna array, multiband synthetic aperture radar (SAR) antenna array, multifunctional RF frontend and wearable antenna.
